Water mitigation

Structural dryingand dehumidification.

Drying a water-damaged property involves more than placing a fan in the room. TNT uses air movement, dehumidification, and moisture checks to help reduce moisture in affected materials and determine when the space is ready for the next stage of restoration.

Drying the structure, not just the surface

Floors and walls can feel dry at the surface while moisture remains in subflooring, drywall, framing, insulation, or enclosed cavities. A drying plan should consider what materials are wet and how moisture is leaving the structure.

Air movement

Air movers increase evaporation at wet surfaces and help move moisture into the air.

Dehumidification

Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air so evaporation can continue more efficiently.

Monitoring and the repair transition

Drying progress should be evaluated over time. The goal is not to keep equipment running indefinitely; it is to reduce moisture to an appropriate condition and then move the project into cleanup, repair, or reconstruction.

Moisture checks

Periodic readings help identify whether affected materials are responding to the drying setup.

Material removal

Some materials may be too damaged to remain and can require selective demolition.

Build-back

After mitigation is complete, TNT can help with reconstruction and interior repairs.
