Ceiling water damage.Find the source first.

A stained, sagging or wet ceiling can be the visible end of a roof leak, plumbing failure, upstairs water loss or HVAC-related moisture problem. TNT Restoration and Construction helps homeowners address the moisture, dry affected materials and rebuild damaged ceiling areas after the source is under control.

What ceiling damage can tell you.

Water often travels before it becomes visible. A ceiling stain may be directly below the source, or moisture may have moved along framing and building materials before showing through the finished surface.

Locate the source

The first priority is identifying and stopping the roof, plumbing or other source that is introducing water.

Check the cavity

Moisture above the ceiling can affect drywall, insulation, framing and nearby wall assemblies.

Dry before closing

Affected areas should be evaluated and dried before new drywall, texture or paint conceals the cavity again.

From wet ceiling to finished repair.

The visible cosmetic damage is only one part of the job. TNT can connect moisture control, selective demolition and construction so the repaired ceiling is addressed from the inside out.

Moisture evaluation

Determine how far moisture has spread and which materials need drying or removal.

Selective removal

Remove damaged ceiling or adjacent materials when that is necessary to expose wet areas and prepare for repair.

Structural drying

Use drying and dehumidification to help return affected building materials to an appropriate dry condition.

Ceiling rebuild

Complete drywall, texture, paint and related finish work after the damaged area is ready for reconstruction.

Don’t just paint over the stain.

A cosmetic patch does not solve an active leak or hidden moisture. The better repair path is source control, moisture evaluation, drying where needed and then reconstruction.
