A plumbing leak beneath or within a slab can create moisture in flooring, baseboards, walls and lower cabinets. Once the plumbing source is located and corrected, TNT Restoration and Construction can handle the resulting water mitigation, drying and interior repair work.
Moisture from below can affect connected finishes and may appear away from the plumbing failure itself.
Wood, laminate, carpet and other finishes may absorb or trap moisture above the slab.
Water can wick into lower walls and trim around affected rooms.
Kitchen and bathroom cabinets near the leak path may swell or retain moisture.
Slab-related moisture can spread under connected flooring and show up away from the source.
Leak detection and plumbing repair are separate from restoration. After the source is fixed, TNT can evaluate affected building materials, perform drying and mitigation, remove damaged finishes when necessary and complete reconstruction.
The repair scope depends on how far moisture traveled and which materials can be dried versus replaced.
Related: structural drying, water mitigation, drywall and flooring repair, and reconstruction.
