Water heater leak damage.Dry it before it spreads.

A failed water heater, leaking supply line or ruptured tank can send water across garages, utility rooms, closets and adjacent living spaces quickly. TNT Restoration and Construction helps North Houston homeowners move from the initial leak into extraction, structural drying, damaged-material removal and reconstruction.

What a water heater leak can affect.

Even when the source is confined to one room, water can move beneath flooring, behind baseboards and into adjoining wall cavities. The visible puddle may only show part of the affected area.

Flooring & subfloor

Water can migrate under finished flooring and into underlayment or subfloor materials that are not visible from above.

Drywall & trim

Lower wall sections, baseboards and nearby cabinets can absorb moisture after a tank or connection fails.

Adjacent rooms

Water may travel through doorways, wall openings or floor assemblies into spaces that appear dry at first glance.

From leak control to repair.

The right sequence is to stop the source, remove standing water, evaluate the affected materials, dry what can remain and then rebuild what was damaged.

Extraction

Remove standing water and begin reducing the amount of moisture available to spread through the structure.

Moisture evaluation

Check walls, flooring and nearby cavities to determine how far the water traveled.

Structural drying

Use air movement and dehumidification based on the condition of the affected building materials.

Build-back

Repair drywall, flooring, trim, paint and other finishes after the area is ready for reconstruction.

Insurance claim restoration.

Some sudden water-heater losses may be handled through a homeowner insurance claim depending on the cause and policy. TNT can perform the restoration and construction work and provide project documentation, estimates and scope information for the homeowner and carrier.

See our insurance claim restoration, water mitigation and drywall and flooring repair services.

Coverage, deductibles and claim decisions are determined by the homeowner’s policy and insurance carrier. Direct-pay repairs are also welcome — an insurance claim is not required to request the free inspection.
